Opening party for Stockpiler's Contemporary Threads event at Kat + Maouche

Join me and other local and regional textile artists as we celebrate the opening of Stockpiler’s Contemporary Threads event in Kat + Maouche’s delightful showroom in NW Portland. See what goes into creating each participating artist’s work and take advantage of this earlybird opportunity to purchase completed works. Hear Kat + Maouche’s talk on​ The History of Berber Rugs as Cultural Objects at 5 pm.

This 3-day event is part of the inaugural Portland Textile Month. Demonstrations and shopping continue on Friday from 4 - 6 pm and Saturday from 11-6 pm.

2016 Art in the Burbs

I'm looking forward to participating in the Tigard-Tualatin School District Foundation's 2016 Art in the Burbs event October 14-16.  I will be showing contemporary hand-printed decorative pillows, scarves and runners made from linens and cottons.  This annual fundraiser has augmented visual and performing arts programs in the the school district for seventeen years!  Stop by and introduce yourself.  I'd love to meet you.  For more information on the event and participating artists: http://artintheburbs.org/

"Spare Beginnings" Reception and Show

I will be showing my paintings in the Chapel Gallery at Portland's historic First Presbyterian Church from February 8 through April 5, 2015.  Sculptor Carole Murphy will also be showing her work.  The show will be up through Sunday, April 5 and the church will host an opening reception on Sunday, February 8 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Would love to see you at the reception!

Details:

1200 SW Alder, Portland, Oregon; Validated parking below church on SW 12th.  (Parking on street is free until 1:00 on Sundays)

Access gallery through main church doors on Alder until noon day of reception.  After noon, access through door on SW 13th.  

Other gallery hours:  Tuesday -Friday 9:00-5:00, and Sundays 9:00-1:00 via door on SW 13th
